Combat Maneuver - "Double Leg Kick"
By Robert Carignan
"Double Leg Kick" - DN 9 - Damage 1 + 1d6
Unlike a more traditional flying leap, the Double Leg Kick is not associated with any
forward velocity. The maneuver is accomplished by executing a vertical leap, turning
either prone or laterally and delivering a kick with both feet to the torso of your
opponent. If successful, the affected opponent is thrown back 1 to 3 meters and knocked
down.
Players with Physical Science (Physics) may not use this maneuver, as they understand
Newton's Third Law of Motion; the action of a force exerted by one body on a second body
produces a reaction that is equal and opposite in direction to the action. The action of
kicking in mid air should send the kicker flying back to land on his ass.
Opponents armed with the same skill should be allowed to make an Opposed Test. Failure by
the attacker, or success by the opponent gives said opponent the initiative during the
next combat round due to the fact that the red faced attacker must now get up off the
floor.
