Background
Early Life: Academic upbringing
Academy Life: Intensive theoretical science program
Cadet Cruise: Scientific mission
Tours of Duty: Psionics research (7 years)

Ensign Sonam studied biology at the Vulcan Science Academy before attending Starfleet Academy. There, he came under the tutelage of Doctor T'Klar, a prominent Vulcan biologist, and was profoundly influenced by her theories on the biochemical basis of psionics.

Sonam took an intensive course in chemistry at Starfleet Academy and served his cadet cruise on the science vessel U.S.S. Banting, NCC-65843. His first tour of duty was served at Starfleet's annex at the Vulcan Science Academy, researching psionics with Doctor T'Klar.

Personality & Appearance
Ensign Sonam is tall, slender and dark-haired, with olive skin. He is firmly convinced of the superiority of the Vulcan race with its emphasis on logic, and is not afraid to let others know of it. Needless to say, he is not particularly popular with the rest of the personnel at Dyson Base. He is solitary by nature and rarely socializes with anyone.

Author's Notes
Sonam is typical of young Vulcan officers. He could be worked into most campaigns, and would be an interesting character for a player who can balance Sonam's arrogance and air of superiority with good role-playing.
