Background
George Talbot grew up in various Federation Embassies where his father was a Diplomatic Attaché, which is nice way if saying that he was the local Federation Intelligence case officer. At Starfleet Academy, George trained to be a Flight Control officer, but was recruited for Intelligence training. His cadet cruise was spent at Starbase 106, working in the Intelligence Analysis department.

George spent 3 years, from 2266 to 2269 as a very junior member of the team negotiating with the Cardassians for the independance of Bajor. It was there that he renewed acquaintances with Prohas Migdalion, whom he had known as a teenager, and with whom he had several very heated arguments.

In late 2269, George was promoted to Lieutenant (j.g.) and transferred to the 8th Fleet, where he participated in patrolling the Cardassian frontier, followed by the Klingon War and the Dominion War. While with the 8th Fleet, he made friends with then-Commander Baird, who was on the Admiral's staff. Direct contact with the aftermath Jem'Hadar atrocities in the Dominion War sickened him. He was promoted to Lieutenant one year ago.

George is currently assigned to Dyson Base as intelligence officer and pilot of the runabout U.S.S. Seine.

Personality & Appearance
Born in London, on Earth, George Talbot has a pronounced British accent even though he spent much of his formative years kicking about the Federation. He is of average height and unremarkable in appearance, with regular features and mid-brown hair. He is an enthusiatic player of Parrises Squares and eagerly awaits each visit from the U.S.S. Bonaventure in order to catch up on the league standings. He drinks English Breakfast Tea and enjoys steak-and-kidney pie. His musical tastes run to mid-21st century Apocalypse Rock, a harsh and atonal musical form created by survivors of WWIII.

Author's Notes
George Talbot can fit into just about any campaign, either openly as an intelligence officer, as a bridge officer with intelligence experience, or as a "plant" by Starfleet Intelligence looking for spies and/or traitors.
