Description and Notes
Fleet data: The U.S.S.
Centaur was the first experiment of this variant starship design, built from
salvaged parts from the Dominion war, so much of the technology is not new.
The Centaur-class was designed as a Medium Cruiser and patrols the
borders between Federation and Dominion territory.
Noteworthy vessels / service records / encounters: U.S.S. Centaur, only known variant. Plans for further development depend on other ship casualties in the war.
Author's Notes
The
above statistics are taken from the previous design from the Shipyard section
and modified after reading the DS9 Technical Manual.
Editor's Note
As
Andrew indicates, we have another interpretation of the Centaur-class
here at TrekRPGNet. Be sure to check out
Colin K.
Smith's version.
